Building Resilience and Community
Launching Fall 2022
This group will visit Los Angeles arts organizations to experience art and explore how it can help heal and build resilience together.
A maximum of 12 participants will attend art exhibitions in the greater Los Angeles area. A tour of the exhibition and/or a few artworks will be led by a member of the institution, if available, in collaboration with AMFT and Art Therapist Nicole Rademacher, therapist with Westmont Counseling Center.
After the viewing, Nicole will facilitate a group reflection. If possible there will be an art-making component after the viewing with reflection. The sessions will take place onsite at the local art institutions.
The group is open to the public, especially members of vulnerable communities in Los Angeles.
$5 suggested donation supports Westmont Counseling Center.
